Birds in the Forest
Tuesday, October 3rd, 2006We have some avid birdwatchers at Edgemont Highlands, and they have been kind enough to keep a list of the species that they have sited in our community.
To start with, we have Mallard Ducks, Turkey Vultures, Northern Goshawks, Red Tailed Hawks and Prairie Falcons.
In the Woodpecker category we have seen Red-naped Sapsuckers, Willamson’s Sapsuckers, Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers and Northern Flickers.
In the Warbler category, we’ve seen Orange-crowned, Nashville, Virginia’s, Yellow-rumped, Townsend’s, Grace’s, MacGillivray’s and Wilson’s Warblers.
